Nick Crandell commenced his professional career path in 1998 when he enlisted with the United States Navy as an Electrician’s Mate. During his four years in the Navy, he rose through the ranks quickly and earned many awards and accolades including a Navy Achievement Medal and being named the ship’s 400Hz Static Converter Technician. He earned the Navy Achievement Medal for removing, rewinding and replacing the 200hp electric motor on the ship’s high pressure air compressor while it was underway during the 2000 Mediterranean Sea Cruise. Nick also participated in the funeral of JFK Jr. in 1999 and left the Navy in 2002 as an Honorably Discharged Navy Veteran.
Upon returning home to Colorado, he kept hearing about the amazing opportunities that were available in the oil and gas industry. Nick seized an opportunity with NOV Brandt in 2005 as a Solids Control Technician where he was able to utilize his electrical knowledge and leadership skills to effectively troubleshoot and repair the utmost variety of electrical components NOV Brandt used on their equipment. His managers saw potential in his talents and offered to make him a VFD technician for all the VFD drive equipment. Opportunities arose to further his education so he traveled to Houston, TX for many solids control related schools and classes. As his knowledge base and talent continued expanding, other companies began attempting to recruit him.
In 2010, Nick saw a prime opportunity with BOS-Solutions where he promptly became a Field Supervisor. Within a couple of years, management saw a rare talent in Nick and offered him a position as a Field Sales Representative that resulted in an Account Manager Position by 2013. With his acute attention to detail and persistence, Nick was able to secure one of the biggest contracts that BOS-Solutions ever received with Anadarko yielding $50 million.
During this time, Nick also served as a Volunteer Fire Fighter with the Burning Mountains Fire Protection District where he earned the Fire Fighter of the Year Award in 2006. In his off time Nick enjoys playing golf, rafting, watching the Denver Broncos and spending time with his two beautiful daughters.
